I've used other versions of this tool before, and this is definitely the worst made version. In addition to just feeling chintzy, the end of the hex adapter, which should lock the tool into an impact driver, is too long. The indentation is too far from the end, so the tool does not lock into either one of my impact drivers (Dewalt and Makita).

Chuck is nice quality, but the hex chuck is too long to fit in my driver.

Hex shank is too long for standard impact driver, will not lock in. I understand now why this item is frequently returned. The chuck seems to work fine

The chuck can be a direct replacement for a stock chuck. And with the adapter, it can be used to quickly snap into a chuck to increase the bit size capacity. Great product.

Unit was damaged when received( 1/4" adaptor was bent), after submitting return I received replacement next day. Great response for replacement. 1/4" hex adaptor is approx 1/8" too long for impact driver lock ( will grind down to fit. Chuck is decent, not like a jacobs chuck, but will do the job for most medium jobs.Overall good value for price.
