The description is wrong on this item. This set DOES NOT have any 50-inch clamps, despite the title and description saying so multiple times. This set is actually the KREK2440, which comes with two 40-inch clamps (plus 2x24-inch).Only the product number is correct, the other description is wrong. Even the title is wrong, which reads ”BESSEY KREK2440 K Body REVO Clamp Kit, 2 x 24 In., 2 x 50 In. and 1 set of KP Blocks”.

It would be very difficult to find a better clamp than Bessey, period. Not even Woodpecker and their famous build quality can hold a candle to these clamps in terms of performance and value. Try to find these on a sale to ease the pain, and if you don't really need the best, the Bauer brand at Harbor Freight is actually very good.

On the one hand, it seems heretical not to give Bessey 5 stars, as these have the rep of being the "Cadillac" of clamps. And, the price might seem justified because of the heavy duty design, thick metal bar, and nice quality of the plastic/vinyl. Even the foot covers allow dried glue to be easily removed. These things feel solid, and the wide feet give comfort when clamping down on wood.On the other hand, Bessey markets these things, and the packing box states, that they are supposed to be 90 degree (not just parallel) clamps. Meaning the clamp feet and bar are supposed to be at a true 90 degree angle to each other - but they are not. So, if the force of the clamps is needed to keep something square, don't count on it. The four I bought all have toe-in. And, it's inconsistent between the clamps, ranging from around 2.5 degrees on one clamp to almost 4 degrees on another. And, the jerkiness in trying to adjust the clamps is sort of Mickey Mouse in comparison to Jet, Jorgensen, and even some of the cheap knock-offs.So where's the quality control? Don't ask Bessey Customer Service. In my phone calls, all they did was insult me, act surprised that these clamps are supposed to be 90 degree clamps (e.g. "really? where did you see that stated?"), infer that the user doesn't understand how to use the clamp; and then try to upsell you a bunch of other stuff to make up for this clamp's shortcomings.Would I buy these again? I must admit, they are very nice and sturdy pieces, but the fact is, they are of limited use as-is, and not as described. So, no, I would not buy these again. There are similar and less expensive choices that offer more for the money.
