One of the clamps arrived missing a pad. Looks like it happens a lot. Otherwise, decent clamp!UPDATE: IRWIN reached out to me (awesome customer service!) and sent me a replacement pad for free! ...with a clamp attached! I think this deserves 5 stars!

These clamps are solid! There is not any plastic -- everything is metal and it is heavy. Clamps move smoothly with no hanging and they hold tight when screwed into place.

Every piece of this clamp is clearly made to last a very long time and I’m glad I added it to my tool collection. I needed it for repairing a thick wooden cutting board. As expected, it held true overnight as the wood glue dried and my cutting board made a full recovery 🏥

Compré 4, lástima que ya subieron de precio mucho. pero son muy útiles.Las uso para construir muebles y son una maravilla, tienen un diseño robusto y duradero.Aprietan con bastante fuerza lo que deseas, recomendables.Pero con lo que cuestan ahora, no las compraría.yo pagué por ellas 400 pesos cada una.pero fuera de eso, muy recomendables.

I create wooden art pieces (heavy to light weight) and the Irwin Clamps are the best. The Quick -Grip Bar Clamp works great for the heavier boards (pressure) and the Quick Grip one handed bars clamps work great and works on more delicate items as well. There are cheaper clamps on the market, I know I purchased three clamps a year ago and I tossed them in the garbage after a few weeks. The slides would catch when adjusting the height grip area and the tightening handle grip had play in it allowing it to spin two times before it would start to tighten. The pads were hard and slipped off easily. Don't buy the grey and black clamps Buy Irwin Tools. I have 9 Irwin Clamps at different sizes and I use them on a daily basis.

4 and 1/2 STAR-I have around 6 or 7 brands of clamps. This brand by far is my favorite. They all work well and hold things tight, But the grip on this is excellent. My hands don't slip while tightening or loosening it like the others do. It is fatter than other handles and easier to hold and tighten. I'd give it 5 star but the release tab on the back side is a bit short and troublesome to push down, the one next to the handle is longer but not as easy to push while holding the steel shaft. Otherwise it's great and I will deal with this minor glitch in order to tighten easily. It's well made, rigid and has a good weight. I own 5 of these out of about a total of about 22 other models in my possession.
