Fishing rod holder will work on most on most rods. The tab with the hole in it is for the hook.I like them and will use them on our small/medium rods.
I review everything

these are a great idea but there must have been a glitch between the computer or napkin they were designed on and the manufacturing process -- I can't imagine how small an umbrella must be to fit in these -- I don't think it was an accident that none of the included pictures show anything attached to these -- no mention of what the little tab with the hole in it would be used for to transport anything -- I could see these being attached to the edge of a flat surface so you could push your rod into it and the smaller hole to push your line into but that isn't mentioned as a possibility in the description -- I have two 2 piece rods that I could force into these but it was a real chore to bond two separate rods together with these anywhere near the bottom of the rod -- the slots just aren't big enough for multiple scenarios -- bottom line is that with effort you can use two of them to transport one two piece rod but then what is the fifth one for -- I would not buy again unless I figure out what the appropriate use for these is -- they are made well and will last forever and they do float

You do get a bag of these which is nice and the silicone looks good but, the openings are very small and the largest opening is the only one that will fit my rod. These would have been better with just a slit versus multiple openings. I was using straps to keep my rods together and thought this could easily replace them but I was wrong.
