Connecting the overhead projector to my new computer was going to be a hassle. The projector had the traditional serial connector. The computer had an HDMI port and no serial connector. Yikes! This device fixed the problem.

You will end up buying this one anyway... so just start with this one. Is it THE MOST EXPENSIVE one of its kind? Yes, yes it is. This is because Belkin knows that their plug is literally the only one that will work with any computer especially Apple.

El funcionamiento del adaptador en general es muy bueno, lo utilizo con una IdeaPad 330s y monitor externo hp, salida de video y audio son igualmente buenos.El adaptador no es compatible con HDCP, El único detalle que ha presentado es al utilizar web con contenidos DRM como Netflix, PrimeVideo, etc. pierde la señal de manera intermitente. Si su uso es limitado a no usar este tipo de webs el adaptador funcionará perfecto, si desea consumir multimedia mejor buscar otra opción.

Needed these for a project connecting Apple TVs to older VGA projection systems - these were the only reasonably priced ones I found that worked flawlessly with the Apple TV. Just be aware that you will need to power the adapter using a Micro-USB cable when using with an Apple TV.

Does as intended, but does not work for PS4, ended up having to buy a new one which had a power cord, and was 10 dollars total with free shipping.

Although there are other HDMI to VGA converters that look identical to these, this one works. I purchased another one prior to this from Amazon. It would work for 1 to 1 1/2 minutes, then crash the PowerPoint projector, requiring you to stop and reconnect to the projector. I teach in the local community college, and with 50+ students sitting there for a four hour class, this gets pretty frustrating. Fortunately, our IT person was available and loaned me this same adapter, which worked flawlessly. I ordered my own and am more than happy with it!
