Definitely worth the bump in price over some of the plastic and brass options. This thing feels solid in the hand, comes with a couple different options for the valve and connects tightly to the hose with no leaks.

Leaks doesn't seal on male end, has no seal. I ended up crushing my hose end because of this crappy ball valve

No machining burrs, or imperfections. The valve is easy to turn and seems to be of great quality. It came with what I believe is an alternative valve lever which could be a nice alternative to some, it’s like a butterfly style. I didn’t notice any decrease in flow at all. I purchased this to provide a solution to cutting the water off at my hose nozzle to also connect it to my pressure washer. Makes switching between VERY easy. It has a nice sure weight to it but not overly heavy and cumbersome. May purchase another for my backyard hose to switch between the sprinkler and hose nozzle when needed. Tons of value and convenience here.

I recently added this valve to my setup, and it’s been fantastic. The quality is top-notch – the stainless steel is super durable and resistant to rust, so it works well both indoors and out.Using the valve is a breeze. It turns smoothly and seals perfectly, so I don’t have to worry about any leaks. Installing it was also easy; the threading fit perfectly with my existing hose, which was a relief. One thing I really appreciate is the handle. It’s sturdy and easy to grip, which makes it simple to control, even when the water pressure is high. It’s quickly become a key part of my system, making it easy to shut off water flow when needed.Overall, I’m really happy with this purchase. If you’re looking for a reliable, well-made shut-off valve, I’d definitely recommend this one. It’s a great value for the price and has worked flawlessly for me. Five stars!

Arrived boxed and protected like a class ring.Heftiest valve you'll touch. Shiniest too.Originally the valve handle was too long: it hits the swivel grip in the open position. I thought I could slot it in reverse so it would point in the other direction but you can't. Fortunately, it comes with another handle that makes it very compact. Plus it's easier to use because of the rounded design. I would have really loved it if it was polished instead of blue.Still this is an important bonus feature not mentioned! You get a short handle included. You can just swap it out yourself with a PH2 screwdriver.Although heavy (comparted to the cheapo 'brass' ones), it balances this hose perfectly. It actually makes walking with the hose easier now. The SwivelGrip has this valve balancing it and you don't even notice the hose unwinding itself without any effort. Most importantly, very easy to hook up and not a single leak so far while being used with McKillans' stainless steel quick connect plugs.Price is high to match the high quality. Would buy again and would go back to see if this company puts out anything else that I might need.

This thing leaks, and for it being one of the more expensive versions it shouldn't happen. I could have bought 2 of the cheaper ones but chose this because I didn't want any issues.I had to use a wrench and 2 rubber seals to stop it from leaking.-EDIT: Company reached out to me after I posted this comment and sent me a replacement. It works flawlessly, so I must have received a bad one the first time. Upgraded to 5 stars for customer service and quality of product. Definitely recommend.

This valve is solidly built and very sturdy. It comes with a silicone washer which forms a good seal on the female end where it screws onto the male end of a garden hose. It includes two handles- the single “arm” which it is shipped with and a 2 “arm”. It is easily changed by removing the screw that holds it in place and swapping the handles. Some reviewers have mentioned problems attaching a garden hose to it. I had no problems with the inlet (female) side. Some hoses fit the outlet (male) side just fine but others required a wrench to fully tighten to prevent leaking. This type of fitting does not need or benefit from Teflon tape on the threads. The seal is made between the end of the hose and the rubber or nylon washer on the inlet side. The other side is sealed between the end of the threaded portion and the rubber washer inside the female end of the hose.If it leaks from either side then the washer is damaged or missing and needs replaced or the joint needs to be tightened. (Preferably by hand but by wrench if necessary).

I appreciate well made products, like Snap-on tools. Granted a bit expensive and overkill. This product is like that. Solid, extremely well made, no corners cut (literally and figuretivly), polished 304SS. I would pay a few bucks more because it is so well made and I appreciate that kind of stuff. And of course, it works well.

Deducted a 'star' as the Dimensions regarding the 'Full Port Size' are misleading. ALL -GHT- diameters are the same for connecting hoses to bibs, faucets, etc; about 1". Listing a 3/4" size as 'Full Port' could/will lead one to think the hole/port size of the ball part to be 3/4" diameter - IT IS NOT. When fully opened, the -hole- diameter through the ball is actually -1/2"-. If having an actual hole diameter of 3/4" is important to you (for water flow), you will have to get an actual 3/4" valve (hardware store) and mount GHT adapters (Male/Female) to each end to get the water volume for a 3/4" diameter. Still, 1/2" is more than the smaller brass shut-off valves most people use (5/16") so there is definitely more water flow through this SS valve. It is very heavy duty and much larger than the brass valves; should last a long time.
