Works on 2jzgte motor. Wish it came with two studs to drive the cup less work of moving it.

Simple tool so you can build your dreams. It was so easy to use that I was actually able to build an engine with proper valve lash. Spring retainer seems solid, no signs of wear on the tool. Looks like I’ll be using this for the next time an EJ blows.

It definitely made removing the valve springs and valves much easier. It's a great option if you don't want to spend the extra money on the Company 23 one.

Used this on my 2JZ so I could change valve spring seals. No fault of the tool, it doesn't perfectly line up on the spring for a 2JZ, but with a little fiddling, you can make it work no problem.I saw some comments of metal shavings. I did not have that issue. I did use some red grease on the spring compressor threads to catch and potential shavings, but it also provided lube so it'd be less likely to destroy itself.All in all, it's a great tool, and would gladly buy again, although its really one a time purchase type of thing.

I lubed the bearing and the threads before using the tool and kept the threads lubed.I purchased this to go through a set of heads. I have the heads tore down and saw no issue with the tool.I read some of the reviews about the threads coming off, so I kept an eye out for it. There wasn't a single issue with the threads.Being aluminum, I'm sure there would be an issue if you tried using this on a daily basis, but for what I'm doing, it works fine.If the threads ever do become an issue, I could put some keenserts in there, problem solved.

Did not fit with camshaft cap on or off over springs on 2006 Impreza 2.5i. Slick too and seems well made if it would have worked.
