Tried using this on a stock 1966 Mustang 289 valve springs .handle broke off after 1 spring , welded handle on with my mig welderspring #4 arms bent so it would not grab spring correctly . beat arms back into shape with hammerspring #6 gave up and bought same tool from local Autozone. that one finished the job with no problems.

Haven't used it yet, but it looks good quality.Simple to use. Used to compress valve springs to remove valves or change springs or seals.

Pain in the butt to align the claws with the springs, seems like it would have been better if both claws were same length

Worked exactly as anticipated and removed valve springs as desired. I needed gloves for the final few cranks of the screw handle as the edge of the handle created more pressure than my hand could tolerate. Watch to keep side bars in alignment otherwise you'll fine limited working space to remove valve retainers.
