What can I say, you have to use it to appreciate it. It is bigger than I expected both length and diameter. As with all Aircat tools it is quieter than the competition, without sacrificing power. The size might restrict you getting into tight spots but it just cuts and doesn't bog down. I use mostly 3/32 to 1/8 thick, three inch diameter cutoff wheels on aluminum, steel and don't know why I waited to purchase this one. I'd give it ten stars if I could just love it.

Fantastic tool. Wish I bought one forever ago.Have been using Kobalt and harbor freight air tools, but I have gone thruough about 5 of those and they barely scratch the capabilities of this Tool.Comfortable, but the Trigger is a little hard. Lots of torque, does not stallCut the grinding time on weldments from 45 min to about 10Awesome. Going to see what else Aircat sells !!

Tool only a year and a half old, bearing seized up in head. I kept the head greased, and used air tool oil. I have dessicant air driers for my air lines--NO EXCUSE WHEN SOME OF MY 30YR OLD AMERICAN MADE TOOLS ARE STILL WORKING!!!

This is the fourth AirCat 1hp grinder I’ve bought, because they are so much better than the other brands I’ve used for so many years, from cheep’s to the expensive. I am a career metal sculptor, and I buy a grinder for each grinding application, so I do not need to constantly swap wheels, discs and burrs. These 4 grinders have taken over the work of many of my other pieces— I like the Huskys but they have much less power— so as those die, I will replace them with AirCats, as I prefer them to any Jet, CH, HF, Chicago Pneumatic, Dewalt, Napa pro, or delivery truck item I’ve tried— every one of which, I’ve burned up over the last 20 years.They do have a big problem though. The trigger is NOT a feather trigger. It’s exhausting to engage continuously. So, I grind off the red nubb above the trigger, and then extend the trigger along the upper length of the body with a length of 10 gauge steel. It give me leverage that makes the grinder easy to use for a full day of work (and I’ve spent many many full days of work on these awesome grinders). It takes about 20 minutes to change them up. I know exactly what you're thinking. Is this tool worth spending the money on? When I bought this tool I took a chance on the fact no one I knew had one and the reviews weren't really there online to justify the tool. I purchased this tool a little over 2 years ago and it's been thrown around, dropped stepped on, poorly maintenanced, and absolutely abused to the point where It probably should be broken by now. I work in an automotive shop and I'm here to say it still works like the day I got it brand new. The tool is a bit big so if I can make one suggestion it pairs well with a swivel adapter so you can easily fit it into those harder to reach places. This thing is a beast I've never had it stall on me or breakdown. It's great for my use and I'm sure you will be happy with this product.

I am a full-time metal fabricator, and this thing is fantastic. It's quieter, lighter, and more powerful than I expected. For reference, it's very difficult to stall it with a 1" disc.This is a perfect example of why we buy the good stuff, folks.
