The price was very good, the shipping was very fast and the machine is excellent, there was, however, one major drawback, I did not realize that the machine was a 120V version...I can use it anyway by using a transformer to step down from 230 to 120V so it was not at all a total disaster. For anyone who dont't happen to have a 1200VA, 230 to 120V transformer lying around it would have been....One suggestion for Amazon as a whole is to perhaps try to highlight the operating voltage for all items where this is of major importance.

I purchased originally for removing vinyl baked on factory under coating and rust on my SUV. I found it works easily for this job with the right wire wheels. This is the hardest job there is using stones or burrs for grinding and shaping metal is much easier. So this is the ultimate test. Worked beautifully. Just pleasant to use and does not get hot in use. Handles are the best I have found for this kind of die grinder. You have control and comfort with low fatigue. It's high powered, and speed adjustable. Note it has a soft start that has a slight delay before starting the wheel and smoothly accelerates up to the preset speed selected. It does not bog down. But if it catches it does release the power and stop... then accelerate back up to use once you have freed the wheel, burr or stone. The best features are the handle/with on-off switch, the long reach rubber covered comfortable spindle, the smooth high powered operation, the intelligent power/speed control, the special jam free/easy release collet chuck, the reverse airflow to blow the grindings and dust away form you and the motor, and its high quality beautiful product. Now it is rated for 2" side and under stones, wire brushes, and sanding abrasives... but you can use a 3" wire wheel if quality and balanced. It will run that all day powering though tough vinyl baked on undercoating.... every other one I have tired bogs or getting blazing hot. Now do not use with a 4" wheel as this will overload it and cause overheating, of the motor not bearings. What in my current project did I find works best... Weiler 3" twisted wire wheel, .02" wires, 25,000 rpms rated ... but run at (1) setting or about 10,000 rpm... and balanced on a precision mandril. Wow it has productivity with that. Now a trick to balancing wire wheels is to run with the wheel turning against a floor mounted grinder with its wheel running the opposite direction against the grinder wheel, a floor mounted belt or disk sander with coarse abrasive. Start both machines, press the wheel needing balancing against the sander/grinder firmly but not hard enough to bog... this will quickly balance to take out annoying vibration and noise. It also sharpens the wires to work better, so you can sharpen you wire wheel. You can do this with grindstones too, for either truing up or balancing, so not to explode a stone, a light touch is used. Its costly but you get everything you pay for and more! Just buy it and you'll be happy. It's absolutely the highest quality of all the German and European tools.
