It worked for lapping all the valves in one build, hope it last for another. Once you figure it out seems to work good. Is it perfect no the suction cups do not hold great did it do the job yes. Could it be better of course but the price and function is more than usable.

I don't know how this tool has such good reviews. It does not work as described. With any significant pressure the valve will stop moving and you can feel the tool slipping on the inside. It's a complete waste of money.

Once I figured it out, it became one of the favorite tools in my specialty box.

Great idea, but doesn’t work very well. The hand dowel suction cup method is still the best. The suction cup I was using wore out quickly and would no longer stick to the valve after several uses, making it useless.

It seemed to work ok at first. Had to hold the body of the tool really tight to keep the whole thing from spinning. Used light to medium pressure on the valve. Noticed the plastic body started getting warm and only moving the valve in 1 direction, then completely stopped within 2 seconds of that. Not very expensive, but didnt think it would beeak so quickly. Bought 2 more of a different brand - same exact tool, just a different brand name. Both worked for several hours. I must have gotten a bad tool? Anyway, it does work well, dramatically reduces lapping time, and reduces fatigue. I still did the initial and final lapping by hand to check the feel.

overall worked great, it is a trial by error, but once I got the hang of it helped a lot, definitely will be using again

I thought it had a reversing mechanism (would flip CW/CCW) - but alas no - it's just a randomly operating clutch. The suction cups have one job. To suck. And hold. They don't. Well, not very well anyhow. I tried wet, dry, super clean, cup and valve - all sorts of combos. Gave up eventually! Luckily the valve stems and the output shaft of this are both 5/16" (+/-), so a short bit of fuel line mated up to both made MUCH easier work that using the suction (not) cups. That being said - I could have just used the hose!!! Sigh.

This thing did not work well at all, the hard rubber wasnt suctioning to the valve and the center piece grey disk on the shaft was just awkward to hold. I had better luck using my drill chuck and locking the valve stem into that and then spinning the valve that way.
