There are higher quality spring compressors out there, but for the money, this one is hard to beat!

Worked as it should. Make sure to spray some WD40 or some other spray lubricant on the thread prior to collapsing spring.

I would give this a 2.5/5Most people do 160 or 165lb springs so im sure it works just fine for them. Im using 185lb springs. The first 2 cylinders it worked good enough to use. However the anodized plate isnt centered on the spring so it crushes it off and makes putting keepers on a bit more challenging. However, I was able to make it work. Cylinders 4 is where I started to notice an issue. The threads on the bolt are starting to deform. On cylinder 5 i had the nut get conpletely stuck with the springs partially compressed. Luckily the keepers were just about seated so i unscrewed the tiny bolt that attaches it to the head.My biggest complaint, as you are tightening and compressing the springs, the steel washers are digging into the anodized aluminum and causing metal debris. Luckily im doing this off the engine but something to watch out for!!As I said, most people use lighter spring pressures so im sure this works just fine for those as the other reviewers stated. Im using a hamilton head so maybe the valves are moved slightly to use larger valves than a stock head and that is why the anodized plate is not centered. If you are using 185lb springs I recommend getting a 12.9 grade bolt to use. I will be grabbing one tomorrow and I'm pretty sure this will fix my issue or atleast let me finish up.
