These work but if you REALLY want a valid test, they need to be incubated for 96 hours minimum.120 hours is even better.I am a certified Water Distribution Operator in my US state for Public Water Systems. I've been using these (and similar) for years as a "pre-test" prior to making the 200-mile round trip to the certified lab.I'll save you the details, but I figured out years ago that 48-hour incubation is way too short for a valid result.One star off for the seal under the lid. When drawing a sample for coliform the industry standard is to open the jar as briefly as possible and hold the lid top side up (do not invert it or place it on any surface). The seal makes this very awkward.

We built a new home and our new well tested positive for coliform bacteria. While not uncommon when drilling and installing a new well, you definitely want to take care of it before drinking or showering with that water. These tests helped us confirm that we had eradicated the bacteria from both our well and the pipes.

This was just what I needed, a test for bacteria. I didn't need the tests for other chemicals.

I am not sure of the accuracy of this home testing kit. I would recommend using a Lab testing for most situations. Not sure if the reagents have expiration dates, nor the accuracy of them. I am not an expert in this field. That is why I would use a kit like this. But it needs to be proven to be highly accurate and that is not with this one.

This product that I received does in fact appear as described correctly. I have already commenced processing two of the four sample bottles, using order from two separate parts of the pool. Unless they complete the test and I receive two different results, I don't believe I will be able to verify their true effectiveness. So for that, I must give positive feedback, and assume these are good products. The product and it's manufacture have good reviews on other sites.

j'ai effectué deux échantillons dans mon puit de surface le meme jour.Un avec le kit lawnful dont le résultat était conforme et le deuxieme analysé par un laboratoire.Celui-ci a révélé une contamination a la bactérie e- coli.Pour certaines personnes c'est dangereux.Malheureusememt pas fiable.
