I ordered this set of Carbide end mills to have some common metric sizes available. I do a bunch of small machining projects for the vintage cars I rebuild and modify. It's very handy to have metric sized end mills available when I need to make a bracket that will have slots and holes in it for metric fasteners. Instead of having to find a SAE size that's close and then having to make several passes to create a bolt slot, now I can do it in one and with the right size to match the fastener. The end mills are nice and sharp as expected and leave a nice edge finish behind on the pieces I have been making. Definitely a good addition to my end mill selection.

A man can never have too many end mills. These come in a vacuum bag with 4 plastic tubes inside. I like the protective tube arrangement for end mills and other sharp tooling. The cutters themselves look good and they feel very sharp. I'm not set up to do any scientific testing of cutting tools but I did make a few test cuts with the 8mm cutter. It seemed to like a little higher feed rate when cutting aluminum and it left a good surface finish. I tried it with and without lubricant. There was no galling or sticking in either condition. Based on my limited testing and visual inspection I think these are some fine cutters. I don't know how they'd hold up in a commercial environment but for the home shop they seem to be great. I'll update this review if I run into any problems as they see more use.

I ordered these, knowing full well the only thing I have to hold them is my lousy imported set of metric er40s, because I have some Delitongude threading inserts that are AwEsOme. When I got the ER 40 collet set all of them had a 2-6 thousandths run out - so I try not to even look at that set. I did bust out the 5mm and 8mm to do some shallow (side mill) test cuts with these (.015 to .025). I did not indicate for run out - that would have just pissed me off; testing end mills is no fun when you end up beating the bee-cheeses out of collets with your baby sledge. I ran the 5mm at about 2200 rpm, and the 8 at 1400 - the cuts came out surprisingly smooth with these fine little micro grain carbide end mills. Not the best finish, but will do in a pinch. Best of all - the cutters looked no worse for the wear. I'm looking forward to finding a deal on some nice metric collets.7 Stars for The DelitonGude 4Pcs Carbide Tungsten Metric End Mill Set

Got this to work with some small RC craft projects. I use these with my desktop CNC mill which doesn't output much power to begin with, so the mill tips I use must be real sharp and consistent in cut depth control. These are some real hard cutters, got through most steel bocks with absolutely smoothness in cut. As long as rate of penetration is controlled in a slow pace cutting metal with a desktop cnc mill was no problem at all. I did have issues using these cutters on 301 stainless steel, couldn't even etch with good results. However after some trial I realized it's my cnc gantry not being strong enough, the cutters are still fine.Overall, these are some good cutters. There are lots of small features here and there which makes it easy to use and sharp entrance on initial bite. I would highly recommend anyone looking for an economic set to look into this set. If you're gun-ho about blade longevity, go look at German/Japanese cutters at a very steep price. Else, for occasional and leisure use, these cutters will do.

This end mill semmed like good quality when it came in and worked great while it lasted. It turns out it's not made for use with aluminum and ended up breaking. The sellers customer service was fantastic and took care of me quick. I have no hesitation buying from them again in the future.
