Used these to mill down some aluminum parts that I needed to have a little thinner and the end mills worked great for these. The end mills fit nice and snug in the collets and didn't fall out or spin in the head of the mill. The end mills left a nice finish on the aluminum that I was milling down. As of now I have not tried these out on any steel as I don't have a steel project in process right now but cannot wait until I do to see how these end mills work out on steel.

I went with very safe plunge speeds and depths and then travel speeds because I always do with smaller bit but was still very impressed with the cutting finish which these bits leave. I haven't broken a single bit with months of use. I do believe that they would work well with hardened steels. I have also used them with aluminum which is obviously a little softer but I was able to program more aggressive cam files. Good end mills.
