Works so far. Could be sturdier

Advertised to have 9/16 threads. It doesn't! Don't know how well it works because it doesn't fit my drill as advertised. Very disappointed.

I ordered this Keyless Drill Chuck from the Shinelan Store on Amazon because I had the correct arbor that would allow me to fit it on a drill driver. I didn't specifically need a Milwaukee chuck, except that the arbor had Milwaukee threads. So now I can use this chuck on any drill driver and it's working great. The chuck seems like excellent quality, it holds tight and releases easily. What more could you want?

I tried to salvage an old Milwaukee M1 battery operated drill. The chuck stopped working. I ordered a new one. It looks like a sturdy replacement. But I didn’t anticipate the Phillips screw that locks the chuck in place can easily strip because of corrosion, residue, metal fatigue and 15 years of regular use. So my advice to you DIYers, get the screw out before you order a new chuck, and then buy a new screw. The screw plus the chuck will set you back $45 or so, so calculate that cost against the odds the new chuck and set screw will return your drill to serviceable life. Also, be aware, after the chuck is successfully removed, you will need a large Alan wrench to remove the old chuck. This is all shown on YouTube. Peace.

I like this chuck as the grip is superior in my view on holding on to standard shaft drill bits especially those in the 1/4 to 3/8" range. Took less than five minutes to install and ready to go. The chuck snugs up on the shaft then cinches tight. Nice chuck.

The price was just low enough for me to take a shot on this chuck. It has two negative reviews, but both (at the time of writing this) are for falsely stating the thread size which they have corrected. Actual thread is 1/2" 20, which is what I needed for Dewalt. It is exactly the right size to clear the plastic housing of my drill.Make sure you can get your old chuck off before you order new. I have several drill chucks I don't think I have the ability to remove - I tried all the tricks. I had it installed in less than a minute. Spinning the grip it was very smooth except there was a slight hesitation towards the center of both extremes. I have seen used chucks get sticky before, so I sprayed a little WD in the slides and it is now silky. I threw a 1/2 Inch drill bit in and drilled a 4" long hole down an old 2x4. The chuck does not wobble, and locks down (clicks as it locks like Dewalt) on the bit like it should.Compared to most replacement chucks, it is relatively short/stubby like the original angle drill chuck. It is nearly all metal, not plastic like the original or replacements sold. It is a 1/2" chuck versus the original 3/8", so that's a win. For the price (about $10-15 cheaper than the brand name), it looks/feels/works like a good quality chuck. If it craps out on me I will update.
