I use a Foredom SR quite a bit, and while I have a bunch of the Foredom official handpieces, I also have a wide variety of aftermarket handpieces from China, Italy etc. that all use different chuck keys. This one fits all the ones I have and makes it a lot less annoying to fiddle around looking for the right one.

I ordered this for my older drill presses and corded drills that have the key chucks on them. Since chuck can have different size keys it is nice having a key with multiple sizes. This one is a little crude in that it is cast and painted but it isn't machined in any way after casting.. so.. it is a little rough. Works ok but if I really have to tighten a chuck very tight this one "could" give way and break. For a serious DIY or machinist this isn't the one for them.

The drill I needed this chuck for is a hand-powered, egg beater style drill. The only way it sort of worked was if I pushed downward very hard while turning it. In my opinion that means it does not work. May work on other drill types, but it did not for mine.

I was really excited for this chuck key wrench and I thought having 4 different sizes I would easily have one that works. I was wrong I have two tools that use a chuck key and they are both different sizes. This chuck key does not fit either of them. I didn’t think there would be that much variation in chuck keys, but I guess so. Overall, the key is ok, but I fully expected at least one to work.

I ordered this chuck key as my Milwaukee 1/2" Magnum Hole Shooter was missing its chuck key. As this product boasts 4 keys (including a half inch one) I thought it should work.It does work, kind of. Not a tight fit, but it does sort of fit the chuck and enable hand tightening the chuck with this tool. Because the fit is not exact it requires holding the key just so as I turn it. And it's difficult to torque it down really tight, so there is some risk of the bit just turning in the chuck instead of turning in the work piece. Thus for my Hole Shooter I will continue searching for a chuck key that fits tighter or more precisely. For some of my other drills, particular in 3/8", the key fits much tighter. This is a good tool, a tough alloy of steel, while still being lightweight and somewhat minimalist. It could be tethered to a drill for handy access but I prefer it as a benchtop tool because I like it in quick reach to tighten or loosen the chuck of nearly any drill/driver I own (except the keyless ones).

This is a handy chuck wrench...I have a couple drill presses and hand drills. So far this has fit every chuck I have tried. It will be handy to keep in a prominent spot to have available if another is temporarily lost. It fit both my 1/2" chucks and one 3/8" so far. I like it , it will be a keeper.

I have a Dewalt corded drill, and a large drill press. None of the four chuck keys on this fit either of my drill chucks. Additionally, there are only two different sizes of keys on the one I received. I used a caliper to measure them and counted the number of teeth on each and there are only two different sizes of keys. Two are duplicates.
