Got the item, way to instal as promisedI got stuck on the size of the connector and messaged the seller for the question and they replied to me within mins , saved me a trip to Lowe’s by replying fast and told me what I needed to do. Great item, easy installation and great customer service.I can put my fireplace and low setting and warms up the place fast compare to my old single fire burner. Love the item.

Fantastic idea by or general contractor as we were going through a major remodel of our kitchen, two bathrooms, a powder room and garden window.He suggested to update our 25+ year old fake wood looking gas fireplace to a modern glass look with the H-burner for $250 labor plus cost of parts.As you can see from the photos it’s worth it.$50 for this H-burner and another $50 for 20lbs of two types of glass.Great upgrade for very little work and money.

Great double burner, puts out a lot of heat. The flexible hose does not whistle but on full high you can hear gas going through the pipe, sounds like water through a pipe, it’s noticeable but only if you know what you are listening for. But in all honesty at full bore this thing is putting out a flame 3 feet tall so we never have it at more than 50% and that still puts out a lot of heat. Tip- move the lava rocks/ fake logs around until you get the burn pattern that you want. I had a weird flame pattern at first because of the way the logs were stacked, not because of the burner.

I now have 5 months of use on this burner. It has performed well. There is a little bit of noise at higher flow rates that I attribute to the flow rather than a "hissing". The flames are uniform along the length and have been even over several hours of use. The installation was easy and Starfire's customer support staff responded promptly and thoroughly to a question I had after installation.

Great "H" burner that fit nicely in our 22" x 16" x 36" fireplace firebox. It was a little louder than I expected, although I've never used a gas burner in a fireplace, so I actually wasn't sure what to expect. The ad says whistle free, but you most definitely hear gas traveling through the burner. Its not a whistle sound, but almost like water running in pipes behind a wall (confirmed the noise comes from the burner and not the inner wall gas pipe). It was just louder than expected.Overall we are very happy with it. The connections that come with the burner fit with our home gas lines without any issue. We partnered the burner with a base layer of marble rock ships and buried the burner under about 1" of Caribbean blue metallic fire-glass.

After deciding to get rid of my gas logs and update my fireplace, I settled on this burner and golden flame fire glass. I painted my fireplace (after cleaning) with Rust-Oleum High Temp 1200 degree paint, two coats. I then added Star Fire Crystal Diamond fire glass over the burner. I first added ten pounds, then twenty pounds of the same glass. Star Fire has a calculator to see how much to use at their website. I could have gotten by with thirty pounds, just barely, but I wanted to add ten pounds of Onyx Black Reflective to the center as a finisher. See my photos first after painting, then with ten pounds over the burner, then the finished product. The burner performance is outstanding, with the drilled holes and the high grade connectors, there is no whistle. Very nice burner indeed!

The Product:Very high quality product. The pipe used to make the burner is very thick as described. The pipe is beautifully polished to a mirror shine. Just as described, holes on the burner are drilled, not punched, to reduce the whistle effect. Be advised though, you will still get the "whistle" noise when you turn the gas too high to the point that's too much fire for the fireplace itself. I think that just the way all gas burners are.Installation:Product came with a very clear written instruction. Very easy to install. Just carefully read and follow the instruction. The only trouble you might have is bending the included flexible gas hose. Be patient with it. Take your time on planning the bends, position the burner to the center of your fireplace. To install it, you only need 2 wrenches and YELLOW Teflon gas sealing tape or use the liquid version.To save some money, I used 30 lb. of cheaper flat round fire glasses to put in the bottom as a base to pad up the broken reflective glasses. Then I mixed 20 lb. of light blue and 10 lb. of gold reflective glasses and spread them on top of the flat round fire glasses.I bought this burner kit as a gift to my sister alone with some light blue and gold reflective fire glasses. It turned out beautiful. See the picture I uploaded. The actual result is a lot better than the picture due to under exposure of the glasses caused by photographying the fire. Her entire family and friends loved the effect. Now friends started to ask me to help them setup their fireplace the same way.Highly recommended.
