This drill chuck was advertised as accurate to 0.005". When I got it I put it on my lathe and measured the error with a dial gauge. The error was 0.017" to 0.018", an extreme variation. This makes the chuck useless for any kind of accurate work. I sent it back.

It really is nice to have a good chuck for my lathe. The old one was wore out.

Updating my drill press, its always been a bother that the chuck that came with it was pretty massive. It wouldn't hold anything smaller than a 13/64 bit. Pictured on the deck removed.Fun part was figuring out my morse taper and what size that needed to be. Turns out, its a #3.This was a perfect fit, and feels smooth when you turn it open/closed. This will be a nice addition to my press. I think it operates better than the one I removed.Came well packaged, and well oiled, no rust on it at all.
