Well constructed tool that is easy to handle and operate. Appropriate size for quick fixes. The speed of the drill is smooth and consistent with the steadiness of your hand. You must pre-drill holes or score your desired drill site as the drill tip may shift if you don't have a steady hand. All in all it's a must have tool in situations where power outlets are unavailable.

Very good hand drill, really durable and easy to turn; a tiny flaw: if you grip the handle at 90 degree, it will always get stuck when the handle is furthest from you while turning, and you need to jiggle a bit to continue; a minor inconvenience for an otherwise very good tool.

Used this hand drill to drill into the wood stock of my Henry .22. The hole needed to be drilled on the top of a curved surface and was afraid to use a power drill. Used the drill bits that came with it and had great results with this perfect tool for the job.

I purchased this drill for my forest school class. The bolt holding it together came loose and was lost. I bought another one. The same thing happened, after only 2 months of use.

The tool drills holes well. The parts do not impart resistance to movement like some similar drills do. I did not experience any binding normally found in single gear drills. The tolerances are very loose. A bushing would greatly improve the rattling I experienced. The upside of loose tolerances is that if you are not steady the bit will not break due to the ability of the tool to move with the bit. Like everything, this tool has positive and negative aspects. Overall this product is a decent value.

The drill driver assembly and chuck have a nice weight and feel pretty solidly built, it is unfortunate the crank handle is plastic with a bolt which only goes roughly 1/3 of the length of the plastic handle and doesn’t appear to be threaded, so when the plastic breaks it will require a fair amount of work to replace. Hopefully it will not wear out and this will be a nonissue. The plastic feels solid enough it will out last a wood handle, but I don’t like plastic, and try to avoid it whenever I can.

Our Cub Scouts had fun with his hand during the woodworking project. Great little drill for the price.
