Saw another review on this on how it saved a marriage. Thought that was hilarious until I installed one in our basement. We have a bedroom right above our sump pump and we live at the bottom of a hill. It runs every 30 seconds sometimes and always had a hammer sound each time. With this it is silent! No clunk when it turns off! I can't believe it. It's insane how much quieter it is. I just hear the water run but that's it. I would give it 10 stars if I could. Keep in mind OD of fitting is larger than 2.5" so I had to really stretch the rubber for it to fit.

This is the quietest valve I've ever heard, if your having water hammer problems, look no further then this valve, I've had extreme water hammer on sump pump, this took care of the problem, it's been hooked up for 18-months and still working. I bought a extra one to have in standby just in case, but I don't really see me replacing this one, it's well built.

I love the fact that I didn't have to monkey around with cutting or replacing/resizing any PVC pipe ! The standard Zoeller check valve and this item both fit into a 6-7/8" section in the pipe ! Genius. I also very much like the fact that this cements on to the PVC ends, as opposed to the clamp/flexible PVC approach. Zoeller gets my seal of approval !! PS - and it's really quiet !

Bought this as the sump pump is right bellow my daughter's room and was waking her up. Changed over to this and it's 10x more quiet. Worked very well and she definitely appreciates it!

A pro product. Not a slip on coupler with hose clamps that can fail or loosen. Flanges glue to the pipe and the unions secure the device. Much cleaner and safer. Seems to do the job and the install literally took 10 mins. I think the pvc glue took longer to dry. We’ll see how long it lasts. Well built.

We had a check valve on our sump pump that rocked the house. Up until recently, the pump was running every 2 minutes due to the high levels of moisture we received. So that valve was banging over 700 times a day, and right through the night as well. It often woke me up. Once I installed this “quiet check-valve”, all of that changed. It IS truly silent. My only regret is not buying this sooner. Was easy to install.

Best quite check value. Used by my professional plumbing service, and awesome that I can now pick it up on Amazon. It's a little pricey, but considering how often you need to put it a check value, it's a small price to pay. The top and bottom are threaded, so disconnecting pipes is super easy. It's great to help with easy access into the sump pit, which helps if you ever need to do maintenance or replace the pumps. NOTHING leaks below this check value. I just replaced my backup pump and did not have a drop of water coming from the pipes where I disconnected below this value. It's also super quite. It's very reliable as well. I've had two in my basement for 10 years and only recently had to replace one that failed. Its very easy to replace on a DIY basis as well given the screw on connections top and bottom.
