I tried to use the accepted method of angling the drill bit to start the hole and was flabbergasted to see the shank of the bit bend at a 20 degree angle. Shank of bit is mild steel and will not stand to be used like a quality tool. I used the 5/16" bit for porcelain tile and found that the diamond portion did make an acceptable hole after I straightened the bit as well as possible. 5 more holes to go.

I thought since it was made for stone, it would work on concrete, but it says not to use on concrete. If you're like me and don't have any experience with bits of this type, there isn't much information that comes with them, and I'd recommend finding a video online to walk you through what you need to know. The storage case is nice. This product was made in China.

I had to drill into some tile. I watched the YouTube videos then ordered these. I was quite nervous, but they worked great. I've only used one size and it's good value for so many different sizes. Minor issue: the packaging they come in is quite confusing, so I spent some time labeling the containers for easier use next time.

I hate having to run out when I need a specific drill bit and don't have it. So this set will come in handy for exactly those times. The fact that it will drill stone is of special importance to me, but I will practice on throwaways before I go for a good stone.
