These bits perform well on all types of woods including, plywood, MDF, solid woods, plastic laminates and non-ferrous metals.

Really happy with this little guy. I’ve got it chucked in my dewalt laminate trimmer and I’m trimming up 3/4” poplar on top of plywood for a cabinet. I’ve trimmed up probably 100 linear feet so far and haven’t seen any of the issues of breaking or bearings disconnecting others have seen in other reviews.I did trim one piece too early before some glue dried (my fault) and it got on the bit but easily picked it off of one of the bearings. My assumption is that others who are seeing breakage are either cutting too much material at once or applying too much pressure and bending their bits because they are the Incredible Hulks of wood craft. Be gentle with your tools- they are not indestructible. This one passes my test and cuts very smoothly.

I often lost my patience after getting into a template project only to have it ruined by my flush trim bit tearing out material. I even used Bosch’s three blade flush trim bit and had the same issue. I first tried this upcut on a piece of maple and it far exceeded my expectations. The cut is so fine you hardly need to sand before applying a finish.

I've you've been using a straight cut bit to do flush trimming, just stop. Get one of of these. You'll never go back. It is safer, is less likely to produce tear-out, and it catches the light like a morning dewdrop on a tiger lily glistening in the sun. I mean, you'll find yourself just staring at it and the next thing you know ten minutes have gone by. Maybe that's just me though.

It did exactly what I wanted it to do. It cut very smooth.Problem was I had to mount it in my plunge router because it was too long for my regular based router. It was an inch longer than the stated length.Other than the length, it did great.

This guy cuts like butter. I have a 1/2" straight cutter router bit that I was using for a little while and I was getting tear out and catches and it was just an overall bad situation, so I decided to upgrade to this spiral router bit. I absolutely should've done this earlier. I love this bit. It cuts soo smooth, I can bite more wood off at a time without having to trim super close to my template, it makes less noise; excellent investment. I also love the bearings at the top, its a much wider surface to go off of as opposed to my old straight cutter. I have a handful of Yonico bits and so far none of them have given me any trouble or been damaged or anything. Highly recommend!

I was using the Yonico 1/4" spiral upcut router bit to trim some 3/4" thick PVC trim (i.e. very soft and easy cut) with a DeWalt palm router set to the lowest speed. During the first use and within about the first 10 cuts, the top bearing cracked and half of it fell off. I could understand this happening on a $15 bit but this thing wasn't cheap. I am awaiting resolution with the seller as the Yonico package states that "satisfaction is guaranteed". I say take your $30 elsewhere.

I've been happy with all of my Yonico bits. In terms of value, they're hard to beat. Don't misunderstand, they're not industrial production bits that can be run all day long, but for the price and my needs, they exceed expectations. The same is true for this bit. I made several adirondack chairs and wanted to use some plywood templates for repeatability and speed. I used this bit to do the template routing and it performed beautifully. It started to get pretty hot after nearly an hour of continuous use, but it never dulled or failed. I let it cool while I took a lunch break and came back and finished with no problems. Frankly I'll just keep buying this bit for $17 instead of spending $60+ on any other spiral flush trim bits. If it dulls or breaks, I've already gotten my money's worth, but it shows no signs of slowing.
