The pins work well. Despite having the dimensions listed the pictures make them appear much larger than they actually are. I wish they were a little bit bigger, but I definitely payed a fair price for what I received.

We use this for our world map pin board. We liked these gold pins much better than silver ones previously bought because they are small and short. They give plenty of room for the smaller countries that get crowded.

These pins are really nice, I loved them when I saw them. However, when I went to use them they are too long, they went all the way through to the back of my corkboard, I guess my board is on the thin side. I've attached a picture of my corkboard information, if you are using this corkboard these pins will not work for you. Only if you have a thicker corkboard will they work. The pink square is a Starburst so you can sort out the length of the pin if you don't have a ruler to measure.

Good lord, people, they're MAP PINS. If you can't tell from the picture, it says it right there in the description. They're meant for you to mark places on the map you've visited or want to visit -- they're not supposed to be used to hang things up. For that you need thumb tacks or push pins. These are map pins. And for marking a map they work perfectly fine. Sheesh.And the gold is nice and shiny.
