Exactly what I expected. I picked this option because I really only needed a few to hang some pictures didn't want to spend a lot of money. It is a great value. However they do come in a cardboard box so I will have to find another container in my house to store the spare. Don't really like to complain about that because I didn't want to spend a lot of money when I really didn't need that many thumbtacks. A very good value.
