I needed these to hold shelf paper down in a lower cabinet. Reading reviews of thumbtacks on Amazon, it seemed they'd bend or break more often then they'd penetrate wood cleanly. They're sharp enough and strong enough to go in with just a couple of taps. These are expensive, but because they work on the first try, they're worth it.

We use these to hang quilts on the wall temporarily. They don’t damage the quilt and leave only small holes in the wall. Sharp, sturdy, great price.

Couldn’t find large thumbtacks at different fabric stores or they were out of stock.Delivered right to my front door and they work perfectly. Strong and durable. I use a butter knife to pry them off when I need.

I use these for quilting. It is so much easier to use these large thimbles over typical tiny ones and these don't bend after one use like small ones.

I make denim jean quilts and these are perfect to hold the top, batting, and backing in place. Don’t bend when putting them in.

These tacks work well when they do not break. The pointed part is not well mounted to the top round portion, hence about 20% of them broke while pushing them in or removing them. That being the case, this product is not very sturdy, not a good quality & not a good value for my money.

Will use these to attach embroidery to frames.disappointed,as I wouldn't describe them as extra large just large. Does anyone out there do extra large?

I use them in a pin board as decoration and as regular tacks for paper and stuff... I love them! Good quality, great price. Remember, they are bigger than a regular tack!
