I had this unit and it puked in one week of use. Must have been something wrong with it from manufacturing. I would have given 5stars if my first one wasn't a dud. The fuse was still good but it wasn't getting continuity or voltage on the positive terminal. You can't open it up (without agressive maneuvers) so I guess I'll never know. I returned and ordered another one because there is no other option. Now I will say that this thing is awesome when it works. I was able to use in my truck and with my solar generator (Rockpals PS300) at home and not have to burn through my HT's batteries. Being that this UV9Dplus is my only radio right now, having a way to keep powered up is quite nice. When you're not fully mobile (on foot), it is very useful. Hoping the replacement I have coming is of better quality.

This battery eliminator works as advertised. Not a real long cord, but it does the job.
