It does not charge the Li-ION batteries, but it does successfully discharge them. Tried it in various configurations, although to my fault I waited to use the product and discovered it only two days after the return window had already closed. Gave it a one-star because the web page wouldn't allow a zero or negative star rating.

Same 450ma slow charge, good for batteries. Red charge, green flash getting close, solid green full. Does not power radio direct to 12v, only 11.7volts. Dropped in several stock and after markets from stock 1400mAh to high capacity 2200mAh. Charged all and packs never got warm. Final solid green at 8.35v. let sit 1/2hr still on charger, battery dropped (cool down) to 8,24v so it is NOT A TRICKLE CHARGER EVEN THOUGH SOLID GREEN. Did like it stopped at safe 8,35volts. Then put in stock 450ma slow charger. Red charge light came on for 1./2 hour. I measured while charging and the stock Yaesu went up to 8.6 or so and was warm. Then stock charge light turns off when full. Have been checking voltage every hour after stock charge cooldown. In 24hrs will compare volts on one battery only charged on this one and other topped off with stock charge base. If close that is good. However if the stock charger battery has more volts in 24hrs than the stock charge base is better. Will know in 24hrs. I do like it cuts off earlier than stock and is cool but final volts will be final test. Will update then.

Unit works like it supposed to. I had to google the light charging sequence to make sure the battery did not over charged. It is not clear if this charger has a safety function to stop charging once the light goes green. Seller should list light sequence in their description.Flashing red to start chargingSteady red - chargingFlashing green - final charge stageSolid green - fully chargedSolid green remove the battery to insire it is not overcharged. I am sure this is information is in the other reviews somewhere.

I purchased this charger as an add in on(frequently bought together) with FNB-V67 FNB-V67Li 2200mAh Li-ion Battery. The battery works great in my Yaesu FT-60R, and the charger does charge the battery. The battery has female splines and the charger the male splines, its a snug fit. At first, I used a rubber band to hold the Yaesu FT-60R in place on the charger, which is not necessary. I can recommend this charger for owners of the Yaesu FT-60R.

Purchased to charge extended capacity 1800 milliamp hr. batteries on Yaesu FT-60 HAM radios and it works well.
