Our 3-inch thick and 8-inch wide solid wood shelves give you a rough cut look while our unique sanding process gives them a nice clean finish. These mantel shelves will look great in a variety of places. Popular choices are often the kitchen, living room, or bedroom. Longer variations are often used as a mantel above a fireplace or as a showpiece shelf hung on the wall to display family photos, books, collectibles, or other home decor. Our American-made mantel shelf comes with no hardware, as it can be displayed in a variety of ways and match different home aesthetics. WE moved into a new house and the fireplace had no mantel. I had looked around and finally found this one at a reasonable price. We picked the size and dark walnut and when it came we were pleasantly surprised how beefy it was but still easy enough for my husband and myself to install it. The wood was a nice piece without a lot of knots in it because I did not want rustic but more traditional looking. It fit the bill perfectly. Very pleased with my purchase.

A little pricey for something so plain. Does not come with the mounting hardware either. Just looks like a stained wooden block.

The size is not accurate. These stated 7.75 to 8 inches, clearly they are much shorter. Winderful way to mess up a mantle order for a fireplace during Christmas... they clearly have to quality control before it leaves.

Product arrived quickly and in good shape. It is ad advertised, a rustic wood mantel. Nicely stained, and ended up being exactly what I wanted for a remodel.
