The mantel looks better in person than online! I must say that this was the best packaged item I have ever received. There was so much packing and foam around it that it was super protected. It was in perfect condition and is a substantial heavy piece of furniture.Very happy with the purchase so far. Hoping the proffesional install goes well??

I ordered one of these, only to find that it was bowed/warped from side to side. High in the middle then tapers off both directions going to the ends. Sooo, I ordered a second one! And guess what, it was worse! Do Not purchase this unless you like your candlesticks pointing to opposite corners of the room.

Very nice was package good. But one corner came in slightly damaged. It was like cracked. I just touched it up. Will deal with it.

If you have a fireplace with good depth and a large room this would look good. It's quite big and the moulding is better suited for larger rooms and fireplaces.
