I used this cable with the original Wii and a 32 inch computer 4K display, so I knew going into it that the image would be distorted, it would be nice for the cable to have some other options with not just displaying full screen, but It's not a crazy expensive cable to begin with. It's truly plug and play, I plugged it into the Wii, the other end into my monitor, switched the input and I was good to go. I did like the addition of a 3.5mm audio jack, because my monitor does not have built in speakers, so I can plug into that for sound. Overall not a bad cable, but some additional switches for not displaying full screen would be nice to have.

The Wii to HDMI Converter Cable Adapter has been a great addition to my setup! It does a solid job of upscaling the Wii’s visuals to 720p/1080p, making games look noticeably better compared to the original composite cables. The picture is clearer and sharper, which is great for playing on modern TVs. Setup was super easy—just plug it in, and it works right away. The built-in smart chip helps with a smooth conversion, and I haven’t noticed any major lag or issues. The 3.5mm audio jack is a nice bonus if you want to use external speakers or headphones. While it won’t magically make Wii games HD, it’s still a great improvement over the standard resolution. For most people, this is a solid and affordable option to get better visuals from their Wii. So far, I’m happy with it and would recommend it.

The HOXIBSL came moderately packaged moderately and arrived in great condition. I tested the cable from a classic wii into a 50 inch 4K television. The good news is that it worked right away with full video and sound, no issues. Supplying it with USB C power made no difference, which is how it should be according to the product page. The less good news is that the image looks, well, weird. The image is stretched to fit the HDMI widescreen format, and the colors are different, a little more contrast but less vibrant. Overall, I tend to prefer the original AV cable quality, but this cable is a good way to get your Wii video into HDMI if you don't have an AV input or just don't want to use it.

Full disclosure, Amazon let me request this for free to review. I was sent the product, but not paid. Good for deinterlacing. Not worth it, makes everything darker. You can’t see the detail in nightmare’s armor on soul calibur 2. Also, it fills the whole screen from the wii menu, which I like, but I know that some might not. No switch for aspect ratio. No zoom options. You’re better off either getting a much cheaper adapter that’ll do basically the same thing but also buying an HDMI cord, or a more expensive setup that does it much better.

Wow - this couldn't be easier or better. I bought new tvs and failed to realize there was no way to connect my wii. I ordered this with cautious optimism, but it's SO easy and fast to connect. One end is an HDMI plug that connects into the back of the TV. The other end is thr Nintendo specific plug that goes into the back of the wii. That's it. It works so well and we are able to play our wii games again. I LOVE this. It's awesome! Highly recommended if you're looking for a solution to connect your wii to a new TV.

Goodbye to Red White and yellow AV cords. This plug-and-play 6.5 ft (approx.) cord connects directly to the back of my Wii system and then to the back of my tv display. Thus this one cord sends audio and video of the Wii to the TV via the HDMI connection. Note that the picture is not necessarily better as the Wii system graphics limit a high-quality graphic-this is not an upscaler. This was exactly what I wanted and needed for my Wii setup.

This HDMI converter cable is a simple solution to connect your Wii to modern HD displays. It works great, providing clear 720p/1080p output and significantly improving image quality compared to the standard AV cables. The plug-and-play setup is easy, and there's no need for an external power supply in most cases—just plug the converter into the Wii and HDMI into the TV, and you're good to go. The bonus of a 3.5mm audio jack is perfect for connecting headphones or speakers if your TV doesn’t provide sound. At 6.56 feet, the cable is the perfect length for convenient setup without too much clutter. Highly recommend if you're looking to modernize your Wii setup!

Not sure how many people are still playing games on their Wii or Wii U, but we are, and we appreciate being able to carry it forward to newer larger televisions that no longer support component input (I refuse to settle for composite - eww). But Component video is still only 480p, and that looks worse the bigger your tv gets. The HDMI output can be switched between 720p and 1080p, and it does make a slight improvement to the video quality.I have not had time yet to check any of our older games that may not be in 480p, but there are other reviews for other similar products that state 480i will not work through the HDMI conversion. I will update this review later after more testing.
