My Wii cable went out and I needed a replacement. Since we live in the future, I figured I would update things a little. I chose this based on reviews and ordered it. Not only did it come before the delivery date ....it works like a charm. I recommend this adapter.

My grandson was totally bumbed that his WII started only doing black and white. It's really old and the only thing I found on the web was to try this. It worked like a charm. Now all is right with the world.

I wanted to do a review for this one being a gamer and having a 4k TV with no av port. So I did buy an upscale device once for the wii and it was terrible, it looked all blocky, rough an the image was dark. I noticed this for awhile but was worried it would be like the other I bought and I was very surprised how great the image was, just plug it in the back, set the wii to 480p in settings and you got yourself a lovely picture that's perfectly playable. Highly recommended if you want to bring your old wii back to life on the big screen.

I got this to attach a second to last gen wii to a 4K TV. It works and the picture is clear. There are some minor distortions with picture and audio, but it's really minor and hard to describe. This did not work through an HDMI splitter and had to go directly to the TV. The audio goes through the HDMI cable, so you don't need to worry about a separate audio connection, which is nice. Just to check, I pulled the power from the wii and left it off for a while and this still worked once it powered back on. I also wish the adapter was shallower or in-cord as it uses a lot of space immediately behind the console.

Summary:-It works. I can't complain-You may get a bad unit. Return it if so-Can be found for half the price elsewhere-You may need to adjust TV aspect ratio settings after adjusting Wii aspect ratio settings-Known to go bad-Good if you aren't gonna do an HDMI mod or are waiting on parts for the modI have no complaints but I won't be buying them on Amazon again. Can get them for half the price else where with a day or two slower shipping.Quality:Product feels cheap and it is so that's fine. However it does it's job. Doesn't have a great track record online. The colour connector cable began malfunctioning on the television a while ago and I believed I just had to settle for low-quality imaging. With this connector cable, the colour has been restored and has given new life to my old and beloved game console. Works perfectly, would highly reccomend.

It writes Wii to HDMi however the output is 480i and does not work as intended.
