I liked the price and the delivery was fast. The icemaker failed to operate once it was hooked up by a professional so I am returning it for credit.

OEM replacement kit with extra parts for a great price. Took me about ten minutes to replace and works perfectly.

This ice maker works great. It makes 8 cubes approximately every 1.5 hours (plenty for my wife and I). The only reason I'm giving this 4 stars is it didn't work with my freezer out of the box (the plug was wrong). My fridge/freezer model is WRT311FZDW02 which comes with the solenoid and plumbing pre installed - all it needs is the ice maker. I ended up taking the back panel off (inside the freezer) and cutting off the pre installed socked (5 pin) and attaching the 4 pin socked that came with the kit (matching each wire color; black to black, white to white etc). Then put the back freezer panel back and followed the instructions to install the ice maker. One thing to note, it takes a few hours for anything to happen, probably because the freezer needs time to chill after having the door open for an extended time.

This is a whole install/replacement ice maker kit. Simple install. Safety first...unplug the refrigerator. Just loosen the screws, unhook the ice maker and unplug it. Hang the new icemaker. Plug the refrigerator back in. Water for the ice is through a water tube that empties directly into the ice maker.Made ice in two hours. Dumped the first load and it made several over night. Now, we wait to see if it will last.....The kit came with tubes, tub and water pump. So, if any goes out, I've got a replacement.

I was skeptical about the quality and compatibility with my Cosley Fridge from 1993 that I use as a basement / rec room fridge. It is the only fridge that had an ice maker and I have grown reliant on it. After years of fuddling and fiddling around with the original that eventually stopped working altogether I purchased this one. Quality is excellent for the money. Yes the wiring harness was different but it was a simple switch to use the old one with the new machine; extremely simple and perfect fit into the power module of the new ice maker. Produced ice in 90 minutes and buckets since. Love it!

The price for the entire package (ice maker, tray, water valve) was very good. Switched out the factory icemaker with the new part and it worked right away as expected. Would highly recommend.

The ice maker in our 20+ year old Whirlpool side by side refrigerator (ED20PKXAW01) had been having issues for a few months. The ice cubes (crescents) were sticking together in the bucket and forming a huge clump of ice. I'd tried reducing the ice cube size via the wheel on the side - to no avail.Occasionally there would be flakes of paint at the corners of some of the ice cubes. After some internet research I'd managed to temporarily resolve the ice agglomeration issue by placing a cup in the ice bucket to catch dripping water from the ice molds at the far end of the ice maker. However, in order to maintain the supply of ice I found that I needed to remove and replace the cup a couple of times a day.My research indicated that the paint flakes were coming from the non-stick coating on the molds.I knew I needed to replace the maker itself due to the paint issue, I wasn't sure of the root cause of the water dripping: was it the ice-maker or the solenoid valve in the supply line? After reading some of the Amazon reviews I decided to go with the Whirlpool complete kit rather than some of the off brands due to poor reviews relating to flaking of non stick paint on brand new units.I got free shipping and the box arrived 2 days after ordering on a Saturday (I don't have Prime)I removed the old maker: 3 screws and a 4 pin wiring harness and installed the new unit. So far it is working fine: no leaks and no paint contamination. At this point I haven't replaced the solenoid valve but it's there if I need it.Upon examination of the old unit I discovered that the non-stick paint was flaking off the molds at the webs between the ice cubes revealing a very porous aluminium cast surface. After 20 years of cooling and heating cycles, I'm not surprised that the paint was beginning to flake off. After reading the installation instructions that came with the new kit I discovered that there is a leveling screw that I was unaware of - the ice maker was installed in the fridge when I bought it. I suspect that after 20+ years of use the ice-maker had been pushed out of alignment which was causing the leaks at the far end of the unit. If I'd known about the leveling screw I may have been able to resolve one issue.Replacing the entire unit fixed both issues and left me with a spare solenoid valve - just in case.Hopefully this maker will last as long as the original.I probably should replace the filter now - I can't remember when I last did that. . ..

Perfect Match! Contained everything I needed to replace a worn out ice maker. Product arrived on time as promised and in good condition. Seller is recommended. It comes with everything so you might as well replace the solenoid and other wear items while you have the refrigerator opened up. If you have any smarts at all this will be a snap to put in. TIP...Don't throw away any screws or fasteners until you're done. I dropped a couple of the small screws and would have spent considerable time looking for them had I not saved the old ones. Price is WAY cheaper than have someone out to replace a failed ice maker. Do for it!

This was an awesome solution to replace our ice maker that gave out after 8 years! We have a Kenmore refrigerator and after some online research I discovered that it uses a Whirlpool icemaker. Matched up some part numbers and viola, found this God-send! This icemaker was easy to install and comes with extra parts to help solve a variety of issues of why your ice maker isn't working. Luckily, mine was a real easy fix since it only involved the actual icemaker unit and not the pumps or anything external. I simply uninstalled the old one and installed this one. Followed some safety instructions and it was like plug-and-play! I just used the old wire harness and didn't even have to replace any wiring! Good stuff! Here's a tip... Although this comes with some pretty good instructions, go on youtube and look up some videos on how to replace your icemaker. It really helped me out and saved me some $$$ in having a repair man come out! Good luck!
