After having to dig out a fence gate post concrete footing from 4ft depth, decided to make the post replaceable by installing it inside this sleeve.

I used this sleeves when replacing 4 porch posts. I needed treated 4x4 lumber and the posts had to be white. The home was being sold, so I could not wait for the wood to dry and paint later. I did need to use a router to round the corners so the sleeves would slide over the wooden posts. They worked and looked great.

I actually used this as a mail box post cover and it looks and works great. I put in a 4X4 wood post and added this as a cover to protect the wood and to add a little color to the mailbox project.It is sturdy and has a nice finish. I could order it for the exact length needed and it fit over the 4X4 perfectly.So my project worked out great and I think it will last for a long time.

I bought this to cover my wooden mailbox post and it worked perfectly. Solid material- it has survived two hurricanes so far and still looks great.
