This was a huge help for me when I added more pin holes to my bookcase. I definitely recommend drilling a pilot hole first, but this is perfect to keep from drilling too deep. I also recommend holding the end while drilling to help stabilize and to keep from pressing too hard into the surface, otherwise you may end up with a ring around the hole like I did before I realized this (last picture).The bits seem well made and will last. Very happy with this purchase, good price

If you are thinking these are would work for entry door hinges etc think again, they don’t. The tips to center are way to big. The drill bits are 1/4 and 5mm. Door hinge holes are just a little over 1/4

Couldn’t find my centering hinge drills - don’t worry they’re around - so I got lazy and came to Amazon. These didn’t look right, but they looked pretty so I ordered them.I was right; they are pretty and they’re not right. They aren’t tapered to fit in a normal hinge. They might work with a cabinet pin jig if luck is on your side, but really not made for hinges.I’m keeping them because they’re pretty.

It didn’t fit my hinges but it seems like it would work if your hinges are the right size to match the guide.

I wish they were adjustable to I could change the depth they drill in.Over all great to have. Worked well. Great deal for the price.
