I bought this affordable set of bits for my impact driver for 1 specific size bit for 1 job. Now used multiple times in different materials with excellent success. Loved the price, so suggest the only thing missing is a cheap plastic case.

The Amazon description says they are cobalt bits but there is nothing on the packaging that says they are. I had no problem drilling through 1/16” stainless steel with them. My titanium bits wouldn’t even make a scratch in it.

Used the bits a few times, was drilling through plastic and bit broke. I would not buy again very cheap metal.

Drilled a few dozen holes in steel tubing and 1/4 inch plate with the 1/8 inch bit and it stayed sharp. Cobalt is brittle. If you bend it, you break it.

It’s Sharp I haven’t drilled through steel, but for aluminum it works great. I bought it strictly for drilling into aluminum 1/8” an 1/4”.

Ya, there pretty decent. Broke the three smallest bits on simple sheet metal from a car fender. Used on aluminum engine block and ended up with the bit spitting out chunks of the aluminum block when the bit got to hot and broke. Tried to clean it up with a oiled up but, and ended up wishing I would of never used them. The drill bits are sharp, good variety, but not for heavy use, better for common household use. Kinda cheap quality, not worth it for me. I think they need more of a twist for the cut, instead of the simple two twist they have.
