It worked fine.it is so detailed it's difficult to decider. I've had others in the past that were much easier to read

The strip gave me a quick test of my tap water. Need to keep the strip horizontal and compare the color chart on the jar to the strip. The explanation of what is in or not in your water was easy to understand and color accurate. Plus the amount of strips is more than enough. Good value for the function.

Totally love these TESPERT Water Test Strips! The comprehensive 16-in-1 test kit gave me a clear picture of my drinking water's quality. The strips were easy to use, and the results were easy to understand. I particularly appreciated the ability to test for a wide range of parameters, including hardness, pH, lead, and chlorine. This kit has given me peace of mind knowing that my family's drinking water is safe.

I tried the strips today on our tapwater and our filtered water. It’s nice to know now that our filter system is working really well. The strips have given me ease of mind. I definitely recommend them.

SO you have a bunch of water quality tests all bundled into a single test strip. Great. And it comes in a bottle with 125 strips so you can do 125 tests over the next three months at a single water source, or test 125 different water sources once each, very nice. BUT...The way it works is: dip the stick into the water for 2 seconds, then wait 15 seconds, then compare the color on the stick to the colors on the chart on the side of the bottle. This has a number of problems, which I'll list for you here:1. The chart is on the outside of the bottle. Over time, the colors fade. So if you keep the bottle more than 6 months, the scale is no longer correct. Throw it out and get a new bottle. Or try to find a new color scale chart somewhere for this exact test strip.2. The increments (measurement tick marks) on the scale chart are too far apart, it's not very precise and you'll end up GUESSING at the exact result, like "oh we have lead in our water, somewhere between 20 and 40 ppm but I'm not sure if it's closer to 20 or 40" ... so don't use it if you need an EXACT result.3. The maximum and minimum they use for the color scales are stupid, they DO NOT correspond in ANY way to the "safe limits" for drinking water. They're completely arbitrary. For instance, lead has a "safe limit" of 0.015 ppm. But the color scale STARTS at 20 ppm. When any result over 0.01 would be a cause for concern. So the lead test is basically useless because it ALWAYS makes you think the result is "I have lead in my water!!" since it won't show you the range between 0 to 19 ppm. Similarly, if your pH is above 9 you'll never know it because the scale only goes up to 9. "Safe level" is 8.5 but physically it is possible to have pH up to 14. Anything over 12 will basically melt your skin off if you touch it. In Texas the city of College Station has drinking water with a pH of 10.5. Because it costs too much money to fix it. So some of the tests are kind of useless because the scale limits are so bad.4. Given how they arranged the limits of the tests and all that, it is clear to me (as a water quality professional) that this test kit is intended for INDUSTRIAL WASTEWATER or INDUSTRIAL PROCESS WATER testing. NOT for drinking water testing. DO NOT buy it if you want to test the drinking water or shower water at your house. DO buy it if you want to test the water going into your company's electroplating bath, or coming off of your company's sewer treatment outflow. If you really want to test the water at your home, call your town or city office and ask to speak with their water utility department. They'll have some better suggestions for how to cheaply, quickly, and easily test your home drinking water instead of using this, which is just NOT designed for home drinking water testing.

You are here because you need an inexpensive, easy-to-use and trustworthy test kit for your drinking water. Well, keep looking because this is not it.At a glance, these test strips seem like they fit the bill, but immediately on use the problems become evident...The ONLY color reference is the one on the side of the jar, and it is printed on ordinary glossy magazine stock. Yet we are instructed not to shake excess water from the strips before reading. And about that color reference. It has 16 rows, and they are not at the same scale as the physical test strips. Thus, if you are most interested in a test near the center of the scale, it is very difficult to read. Oh, and don't get any on the label or it will smudge!Meanwhile, the majority of the color references don't validate. The corresponding color on the test strip doesn't match any color on the reference scale for that test, so you can't be sure even if the level of that contaminant is zero.Save your money folks.

I like the full set of parameters that it measures. I take pH readings with a separate test and they align with this one so that's a good sign that the it's fairly accurate. I use this for hydroponics to test my water quality without having to go through an expensive lab test.
