For me it worked like a charm. We are remodeling our pool and backyard and have drained it until the one we had died. It was a smaller one with less power and took way too long to drain. This is a replacement, and worked great for a 40$ pump. So fast.I will be only using this every so often of not more than just one or twice. Wanted a quick drain, got it.Attached rope securely to the handle, dropped it in the pool and fired it up while under water. VERY important. The pipe thread tape is a nice touch although I didn't see any leaks or bleed outs. The hard part was finding which way to drain it with the garden hose, but figured it out. No leaks. Drained the last bit of water and scooped out the small puddle left. Water comes out fast to be prepared to deal with it.Worked for us. Won't be using it much more than a few times.Emergency use item.Great for basement people. Plugged it into a multi plug so I can control the off/on. Thick cable. long cord.Item tested:Sump Pump Submersible Water Pump 1/6HP Portable Electric Water Pump Utility Pump for Pool Draining Flood Basements Hot Tub PondSump Pump Submersible Water Pump 1/6HP Portable Electric Water Pump Utility Pump for Pool Draining Flood Basements Hot Tub Pond 2/25/2025

For the price, this sump pump offers excellent performance and reliability. It’s a great investment for anyone living in flood-prone areas. This sump pump works like a charm! It quickly removes water from my basement during heavy rains. The motor is powerful and runs quietly, but the cord could be a bit longer for more flexibility.

I got this to empty my hot tub quicker than the built-in drain. Prior to this pump, I was using a wet/dry vac combined with the actual drain, and this thing works way better than the shop vac or gravity when it comes to emptying the hot tub quickly. I do wish it would get the water at the very bottom, but I still use my shop vac for the remaining little that is left. Overall, this thing is a beast and moves water quickly.

This Sump Pump looks more like a toy than a tool the bright plastic casing makes it cute, but it also makes me question its durability. That said, after running a test, it did perform will. It is incredibly fast.Overall, it’s lightweight, quiet, and easy to use. Just plug it in.The Biggest Issues15 Feet Power Cord - Not bad, could be better. The power cord is not nearly long enough for my backyard flooding issue, so I had to run an extension cord all the way outside. This creates a new problem:Risk of Water breaching the place with the power cord connects to the extension. Because I need to place the pump where the land is lower, for me, this puts the extension cord connection dangerously close to the water.Biggest Concern: No UL CertificationOne thing that made me uneasy is that there is no UL certification. This means it hasn’t gone through official safety testing for electrical hazards. Without that certification, I would not step into the water while this pump is running or even touch the water it's in. Better safe than sorry.Summary:But Use With Caution - Overall, I like this little pump, It looks like a toy but works like a champ. While it looks cute with it's plastic casing, I'm not sure how long it will hold up. Without UL certification, just keep safety in mind and always unplug the unit before touching the water.

This pump is pretty straight forward and works very quickly and efficiently. I ordered it to have on hand for possible basement moisture issues but also used it to empty out a large tub and it worked great. This pump turns on automatically when plugged in and has to be unplugged to turn it off. Running it dry can ruin it so you do need to supervise use to avoid that and be able to unplug it when the water is clear. For my use, that happened much quicker than expected. This also comes with a cord to tie on for dropping it down into water. Noise level really is minimal.Overall, I'm very happy with this pump. It's both speedy and efficient.

It's good for.the most part, light weight, portable, it'll be better if the cord is 25 ft, but the capability that was described is not accurate, if this pump can pump 4500 GPH, a swimming pool that holds 37000 gallons should be empty in 8 hours, but it didn't happen, I've run it for almost 24 hours and the pool is not even near empty. It will be empty eventually. It's better than renting a powerful equipment, that will drain my pool in 12 to18 hours, it's good for puddles and backyard ponds.
