I installed this on my old server with a VGA output so I could connect it to an HDMI switchbox (KVM). It included the cable for connecting the adapter to a USB output for power. I didn't use the audio. It has been working perfectly for me.

I had this fall off even are screwing it on good so I wasn't real happy about that plus this sticks out extremely far. I have my pc close to my wall & this stuck out so far in the back that I couldn't end up using it. It did essentially work, I tested it for the but I had to figure something else out because I have nowhere else for my pc to go & this just wouldn't fit in the back being how big it is.

We're working on "Frankensteining" old devices this winter, combining components from different machines into a hopefully better workable machine. The one thing we were missing was a VGA to HDMI adapter for the monitor. We have no use for the audio-in so didn't test that component of this adapter. It does what it says it does: allows you to use an HDMI cable to attach a monitor to older VGA motherboard/video card connections.

Works! Solid image quality, it is vga so expect some analog fuzziness but nothing crazy. Works fine at 1080p.
