These are a value-priced set of two and four fluted end mill set, something that is great to have for misc jobs if you have an end mill - and for that purpose they are great. However, please realize cutting steel with them will dull them fast, as they are made from standard High speed steel coated with titanium. Definitions of high speed steel seem to vary, these appear to be a bit softer than industrial priced sets, as they say you can't expect the same hardness when such mills are literally 1/5 or 1/10 the price. For hobbyists however, these are fine / great (like me!)Also, some of the bits weren't sharpened appropriately - there were "blocks" at the end that the wire feed cutter they must use didn't work right. These appear to have simply been cut out by a wire styled cutter system and NOT hand sharpened after that. (see pics of the cutter heads)Great on softer materials, works on steel, but not ideal for harder metals harder than say aluminum / copper / brass / cast iron. They will work on mild steel, (see pic #3) but compared to carbide cutters or even cobalt/steel cutter hybrid end mills there's no comparison -On plastic, aluminum, etc. they work great however.

I saw a few reviews that said they couldn't cut aluminum...not my case at all. I use tapmagic cutting fluid, 1000rpm with the 3/4" 2 flute and took 1/4" deep passes thru aluminum with no issues. I think you need to know that for a hobbyist like myself, these are fine. I use much tougher grade stuff at work, and i know what that stuff costs, so you get what you pay for, but these are great for entry level farting around on the mill.

They don't so much cut material away, they more smear it off.

This whole kit is completely worthless. I payed like $85 for cheap endmills that can't last more than one pass .010" through 1018. Absolutely do not buy this kit. Save up a little more and buy something that isn't Chinese made.
