It’s always disappointing when you go to replace the perfect shoe and find that the latest version is different. These boots are still very good, but they do differ from a previous version which I was replacing. The soles, which used to be Vibram, but are no longer, are now stiffer and harder than before. So, while still gripping well, they’re not as comfortable or flexible for hiking. The material around the ankle is also stiffer. They do provide good ankle support and stability but again, are noticeably less comfortable. Hoping they’ll break in over time. Previous version didn’t need breaking in. They are warm and waterproof, on the plus side, and good looking.

The Vasques brand is the best hiking and walking shoe I have ever had. Have worn-out several pair through out the years, IT IS A SHAME REDWING BOUGHT THEM OUT AND HAS DISCONTINUED THE VASQUE BRAND. VERY POOR DECISION ON REDWIG'S PART.VASQUE SHOES HAVE ALWAYS PROVIDED GREAT ARCH SUPPORT AND CUSHIONED COMFORT.

Very comfortable: they are true to my 7 1/2 foot. They are warm and sturdy, and I wear them all the time.

Anteriormente tenía unas botas igual de esta marca, por lo que decidí volver a comprar unas y en verdad no me arrepiento son cómodas, ligeras y sobre todo tienen muy buena suela. Además de que realmente son duraderas

I have this brand in hiking shoes not boots, and I have never had a problem. I love that they run narrow, I have very narrow feet and ankle. I have a hard time finding shoes. These boots are very comfortable and light weight except near the ankle.. I had to return them because they rubbed my ankle. Where the tongue of the boots and the side of the boots meet cause a bulge to rub against my ankle.

This is my third pair of Vasque Breeze over about 7 years. The first two pair were exactly the same and I was a bit worried with the slight remake and some of the reviews before ordering my latest pair. I use them for work (dog walker) so I put 4-6 miles on them daily plus for light hiking. Other than the water proofing and sole nothing has changed! Fit is exactly the same, toe box the same, same wonderful support in a lightweight boot and same wonderful comfort. The laces were a little bit shorter but I could still double knot them so not an issue. I received them yesterday and put 5 miles on them today. They were comfortable and perfect!! I can't comment on the waterproofing yet but will update.Update 5/10: I wore them out all day working in the rain today, wet grass and some puddles and came home with dry feet! I'm very happy with my boots ☔️

This is my 2nd pair of VASQUE Breeze boots. And the toe box of these boots has become much narrower than previously. With my first pair, regular / medium width was wide enough for me. The boots were great and ready for hiking trails right out of the box, even had enough room for thick hiking socks. No breaking in was needed. This is not the case with the new ones. The new boots feel narrower overall. I tried them on with normal cotton socks, and just standing still both my little toes already feel pressure from the boots. I doubt I'd be able wear thick socks in these new boots. And I worry they will give me blisters on the trails 🥲I am very disappointed that VASQUE changed them.

Update ~ I've now worn these boots a lot! I can say that I don't particularly like shoes that come up on my ankles, but as I said in my initial review, there are times I need ankle support and these are great for that. As far as being waterproof, I hiked in pretty consistent rain, and the resulting wet puddles from that rain, and at the end of the day my feet were dry. I'd say that's a win. What I can report on so far is that they are a quality boot and are not heavy like I imagined that they would be. As to sizing and fit, I normally wear a size 8 shoe and based on reviews and advice from avid hikers I sized up half a size. I originally ordered an 8.5 Wide because I do have a wider foot and often have an issue with regular sizes being too narrow. However, the wide option in these hiking boots was much too wide. I purchased an 8.5 Medium width and they fit great. Yes, they feel a bit more snug than my everyday tennis shoes, but that's a good fit for a hiking boot (snug, not tight). And sizing up to an 8.5 provides the perfect amount of toe wiggle room. I'm not used to wearing a shoe that comes up over my ankles so that will take time to get used to, but I need the ankle support.
