My daughter and I bought these Columbia Women's Transverse Hike Waterproof Hiking Shoes for our New Year hiking trips, and we are so happy with them! The comfort is amazing— they are super cushioned and supportive on the trail. We walked for hours and never felt any discomfort. The waterproof construction kept our feet dry, even when we crossed streams, snow and walked through damp areas. Plus, the traction rubber on the soles provided great grip, making us feel secure on slippery rocks. The leather and mesh upper is durable so far and breathable, so our feet stayed cool and comfortable. These shoes have truly made our hikes even more enjoyable—definitely recommend them for anyone looking for a reliable, a very comfortable hiking shoe!

I am not an active person and I went on long difficult hikes with these and had no foot pain at all!! My feet, especially my heels and soles, get sore fairly easily after activity but they were fine with these shoes. I did also add cushioned inserts so I can't say how much were the shoes themselves. Also very durable! The toe is pretty hard so it is good protection.

I had to these boots before but my pup chewed up one boot so I had to get a new pair. They have good grip and support in the ankles. It is good quality and a good bang for your buck!

My go to hiking boot used to be the Columbia Trailstorm but since they stopped making those I had to find a new pair. These are pretty similar to the Trailstorm, they’re still lightweight and feel like a perfect mashup of hiking boot and tennis shoe. They’re slightly shorter than the Trailstorm but the toe length on my normal size 7 fit just fine with mid weight wool socks. They’re definitely waterproof and mud wipes off easily. So far they’re holding up well and don’t look scratched up or old despite wearing them most of the late summer-early winter and putting LOTS of hiking miles on them. The first couple times of wearing them they did cause some soreness right above my ankles on the shin bone on the outer side of the leg, from where the top lace sits and caused the tongue to press on that spot. It wasn’t terrible but I definitely felt and had to loosen my laces, after about 2-3 wears it feels perfect and causes no soreness. So I do think these require a little breaking in, when I first tried them on I really wasn’t sure if I liked them but I had been so spoiled by the comfort of the Trailstorm that I decided to just give them a try. I’m glad I did because they’re my new favorite! The color is also super pretty!

They’re lightweight with good grip.I tried multiple pairs of Columbia hiking boots to find the one I would be a 100% happy with, and I get quite picky.1. It’s smooth on top —- I wanted my hiking boots to be waterproof and smooth on top so that it’s easy to clean and have less stains. This pairs have smooth upper, and not fuzzy like suede upper.2. I chose my regular size 8, but considering I’ll be wearing thick hiking socks, I got 8 WIDE. —- They fit perfect and I felt comfortable, not too tight on the side and length.3. Good grip. —- Needless to say, you need good grip for hiking.4. Lightweight hiking shoes. —- They’re sleek and not bulky hiking shoes with ankle support.I didn’t test how waterproof they are but they seem to be, at least the upper is, but the tongue is sponge/mesh so that that specific part may not be as waterproof as the upper will be.

Bought these for my girlfriend. She is usually a size 5-5.5 but sized up to a 6 for these and they fit good. Only downside is there's not much padding for foot comfort inside - may not be ideal for prolonged walks.

Oh my goodness, what is there not to like?! I recently went on my first real hiking trip to Colorado, so I needed nice hiking boots. I bought a few different brands and styles of boots to try, some a size up as suggested, and was ultimately disappointed for various reasons. Then, I tried these bad boys on and fell in love. They are THE comfiest shoe/boot I have ever worn. My average steps a day is 8,000 in the real world, hiking all day in these boots I got up to 28,000 steps. The next day my feet didn’t even hurt. Plus, the waterproof side to these is amazing; I completely trust these not to leak. Word of advice though - I am a size 8.5 in women’s typically, but after reading reviews of other boots I chose to go half a size up. The 9 fits comfortably with thick wool socks, but I think if I ever wore thinner socks these might be too roomy. So, I suggest sticking to your usual size with these. Another thing I want to mention is the style and color; LOVE!!! I have to say, these are a confidence booster for sure. The quality, weight, style, value, comfort, and general dependability of these boots put my faith back in online shoe shopping.
