Product Information
- Made from cemented carbide (tungsten carbide) blade and being hardened and tempered. Featured with sharp edge, accurate positioning, high hardness, impact resistance, smooth cutting, high toughness.
- For drilling flat bottom holes with no chippings in any thickness of soft wood. For drilling holes in any direction and making arched openings. For drilling partially overlapped flat bottom holes for easy mortising.
- Drilling diameter < 40mm, maximum speed: 2000rpm; Drilling diameter ≥ 40mm, maximum speed: 1200rpm. Used on desktop (fixed) equipment, and can NOT be used on handheld power tools (such as hand drill or electric drill).
- The product is only suitable for processing wood or soft non-metallic materials. Processing metal and non-ferrous materials, the tool will be damaged quickly.
Two Spurs & Center Spur
Two spurs and centering point can offer repeated, clean and accurate cutting holes. The sharp center spur accurately locates the center of your hole.
Special Design
Small incision resistance to improve the opening speed. The head adopts arc curve design for easy chip-removal and no tremor. The perforation is neat, smooth, no broken edge.
Universal Shank
Hex shank is made of solid hardened steel, with high hardness. Can be used in drill press, bench drill, vertical drilling machine, CNC carving machine.

I have not used it yet but it looks great. My other Forstner are just high speed steel. I really like the carbide edges and look forward to using it.

Technically, this will be used as a chunk of wood destruction, placing precise holes in lumber, but wood destruction just sounds so anti-environment, and metal destruction sounds incredibly, well, metal.It arrived protected in an adorable red plastic container that opens and closes easily, and I will totally reuse it every chance I get. There's a sticker on top marking the 80mm size.The drill bit is enclosed in a plastic bag rich with goo to keep it from rusting. Nice touch. It's a sturdy chunk of metal ready to take on - and win - against wood.Update: I'm unsure if the design changed, but I can no longer recommend them. Even on a drill press, it doesn't locate properly enough to have a clean, smooth hole remaining. Freehand? Absolutely awful. I will not order these again.

I bought three different sizes of these and had them shipped to a job site in Florida. When I got there the plumber told me they didn’t work. I grabbed the 84 mm drillbit and tried to drill a hole. The centerpoint that starts the whole properly and keeps in line is so short that the bit walks all over the place. Impossible to use. I sent them back back
