  • Applications: Can be used for drilling holes on wood and plastic products, furniture, door hinge. Used on cutting wood, plywood, solid wood boards, MDF, plastics, fiberglass etc.. Forstner drill bit is for industrial purpose
  • Features: Tungsten carbide cutting tip welded by high frequency technology, sharp cutting edge, high hardness, wear resistance, non-burrs and durable use. Arc curve design head for easy chip-removal, more efficient perforation.
  • How To Use: Suitable for bench drill, vertical drilling machine, CNC carving machine. Processing hardwood or other hard materials should be injected with water to improve the quality and accuracy of drilling, and extend the life of the hole opener.
  • Tips: Maximum speed: 2000rpm. Used on desktop (fixed) equipment, and can NOT be used on handheld power tools (such as hand drill or electric drill). Can not drill metal and non-ferrous metal. Product Information

  • Made from cemented carbide (tungsten carbide) blade and being hardened and tempered. Featured with sharp edge, accurate positioning, high hardness, impact resistance, smooth cutting, high toughness.
  • For drilling flat bottom holes with no chippings in any thickness of soft wood. For drilling holes in any direction and making arched openings. For drilling partially overlapped flat bottom holes for easy mortising.
  • Drilling diameter < 40mm, maximum speed: 2000rpm; Drilling diameter ≥ 40mm, maximum speed: 1200rpm. Used on desktop (fixed) equipment, and can NOT be used on handheld power tools (such as hand drill or electric drill).
  • The product is only suitable for processing wood or soft non-metallic materials. Processing metal and non-ferrous materials, the tool will be damaged quickly.
2

Wide Applications

  • Suitable for cutting holes onto any wood and wood products. Can easily enlarge existing holes and bore any arc of a circle. Drills flat bottom holes, pocket holes, and overlapping holes.
  • Great for boring concealed hinges and door locks. The cemented carbide tip is designed to cut through hole cleanly. Can be used for wood products perforation, mounted spherical door shoot tip, drawer, plastic and wood products, plywood, etc..
  • Suitable for bench drill, vertical drilling machine, CNC carving machine, etc. The bit in the positioning is required to very low speed, and then gradually accelerate after complete position. Add water for lubrication and temperature reduction when drilling.

1

Two Spurs & Center Spur

Two spurs and centering point can offer repeated, clean and accurate cutting holes. The sharp center spur accurately locates the center of your hole.

1

Special Design

Small incision resistance to improve the opening speed. The head adopts arc curve design for easy chip-removal and no tremor. The perforation is neat, smooth, no broken edge.

1

Universal Shank

Round shank is made of solid hardened steel, with high hardness. Can be used in drill press, bench drill, vertical drilling machine, CNC carving machine.

Tips

  • Processing hardwood or other hard materials should be injected with water to improve the quality and accuracy of drilling, and extend the life of the hole opener.
  • The tool edge and tip should be sharpened in time if they are worn or damaged, or the tool will be damaged quickly. Can not drill metal and non-ferrous metal, otherwise the hole opener will be damaged quickly.
  • The cutting material must be fixed, and the drill bit should be perpendicular to the material. It will damage the tool or the material if the cutting material moves during the drilling process.

I needed this 30 mm bit to complete a router sub-base that could accommodate Porter-Cable type guide bushings. I received it very quickly and it was exactly as advertised. The bit appears well-made and is very sharp: it easily handled cutting an accurate hole in cast acrylic. I would highly recommend this bit for anyone needing accurate 30 mm holes.

This is a great drill bit. Shaved the wood into the most delicate fine bits, and it made a wonderful clean pocket for my hinges.

Works very well. It doesn't matter the wood; Purpleheart, Mesquite, Walnut this bit cuts right through it cleanly.

I was making 1/8” deep holes for a small glass. This bit worked very well giving a nice smooth bottom to the hole. Very little sanding required. Pleased with results.

Excellent - sharp - drill bit - HOWEVER beware that when not using a drill press - but instead using a hand held drill - use slow SLOW speed and maintain hand absolutely fixed. Any additional pressure [frustration with the slow going] results in binding and cutout. Control you hands / speed and boredom with slow going and it performs exceptionally.

I ordered 3 different brands of 40mm bits like this one. I use them to make holes in candle holders for my Etsy shop. This is best one by far. Stays sharp a long time, and I am drilling into hickory, oak, ash, hard maple etc.Haven’t had great success resharpening, but you get a long run before it dulls and needs replacement. For the money, best 40mm bit I have found.

I bought this bit to make 48 1/2" deep holes in red oak. Running in my drill press at 620RPM, the bit cut nice, smooth holes for the entire project. The last hole came out looking as good as the first! Then I ground the point off (which took a long time - these bits are HARD!) and went another 1/4" into each hole to create a flat bottom in the hole. This bit performed as well as name-brand bits that cost a lot more. I will definitely purchase this brand again when needed!
