Because rubber material is soft and elastic, we recommend choosing rubber end cap that is slightly smaller than the outer diameter of the product to be protected. For example: the outer diameter of your product is 9.8mm dia, choose the rubber cover of 9.5mm!

I ordered this for a protective cover on the end of a 5/8 axel. The 3 larger sizes are so flimsy they came a bit deformed when arrived. The 5/8 was not a snug fit, but it did fit. Just don't expect the heavier rubber type that other vendors sell.

I bought these to protect threads on a couple 3/4" bolts in a trailer hitch. I bought this variety pack of different sizes knowing that the 3/4" size could actually be too big for 3/4" bolt threads. Indeed that was the case. The 3/4" thread protector was not a tight enough fit on the 3/4" bolt, so I forced the next smaller size - 5/8" - over the threads. That was a tight fit, but it worked.

I bought these to cover the 'feet' of a gold metal blanket ladder that was unfortunately scratching my wall. Not only did these cover the feet, but a bonus is that it kept the ladder in place on the wall, acting as a kind of stopper. Very pleased! There are multiple sizes, I used the smallest to cover the metal coffee cup rack prongs on my wall shelf too. Looking for other things to cover in my house now!

This is a wonderful selection of different size rubber end caps, so when you need one for a different use you can try a variety of sizes until you find tha one that works best!!

Product sizes and description as advertised. Lightweight, flexible vinyl type caps. I used the 5/8 in. size to insulate the insert that goes inside a mic stand to prevent vibration. Work great for that or with the appropriate size, capping off fuel, hydraulic etc. lines to store, keep clean until use. Also prevent fluids leakage while doing temp repairs etc.
