Not only did these fit in the cheap soldering iron I got from Harbor Freight, but they also have finer points, making them much better than the one my iron came with. Just what I needed.

The base is .2 mm smaller than described, did not fit tightly enough into iron for good heat transfer and were not usable because of this.

This solder tip fit my no name pencil type iron I purchased years ago. The tip was a bit shorter that the original. It locked into place with the set screw. It heats up great, soldered good and cleaned up well.

I bought these replaceable tips to replace the tip on my cheap soldering iron I got from hobby lobby. This definitely does the job and does it well for what I want to do. These tips are definitely great for basic fixing or creating things.

It's about 1 CM too short to be a proper replacement for the original bit that was in my Harbor Freight solder iron. However I put this bit in with enough poking out to do the job and it was able to melt the solder. I didn't try to actually solder a joint, just checking to see if it was hot enough to melt solder without being pushed all the way into the iron. I guess if you're cheap enough (or use it infrequently enough) to be using a $10 Harbor Freight solder iron then it should do the job.

Tip is quite thin, so heat transfer can be a bit difficult without more contact, but for replacing a tip in a cheap soldering pencil, totally worth it. Was a bit shorter than the tip i replaced, but it did not affect its performance.

These little tips are fantastic. I purchased them for use with a 30W soldering iron I purchased here on Amazon (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00KXX6RLA/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o08_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1). While a bit shorter than the type of tip that iron was designed to make, it still works. They don't have to be inserted all the way into the heating barrel and everything will work just fine. Much better than stock soldering iron tips, don't disintegrate after a few short uses, and a nice fine point to them with plenty of heat being carried all the way to the tip.

They were delivered very quickly and were exactly as described.I have been looking for something to fix my broken usb sticks and now I can. The thin point make it easy to solder those awkward tight contacts. I can now start using the usb sticks again.
