I have no complaints about these tips, they fit and work properly with a Tenma iron that takes the 900M style tips.These are pre tinned, and once they get hot, you are good to go.The 2.4mm size is good for general repair of circuit boards with through hole components, and is also good for soldering ends onto cables to make custom cables like jumper cables or audio cables.This size is a little to big for surface mount component replacement or for someting like a data cable with small pins.I have not had any issues with the tips loosing their tinning, or with the plating coming off.So far these have worked properly.
