This coupler has a very good fit into the recirculation door. Much stronger than the original plastic.

This Aluminum servo coupling is clearly superior to the plastic piece installed by the vehicle manufacturer. It has a smooth snug fit to door actuator and the blend door. I would recommend it as a replacement to the OEM plastic part whenever you have the opportunity to make the switch - even if the OEM piece seems to be working fine.

The adapter is perfect for 2001 and newer Dakotas because it is made from aluminum and is not subject to breaking like OEM part.
