Since this blend door actuator , like some of the rest, is an extremely difficult part to access, you would hope to never have to replace it again. I got 2 years and very little use out of this piece of junk! Thanks to aftermarket cr#p, oh and Ford

Rear blend door wasn't moving (rear ceiling/floor air flow outlet). Get access by disassembling panels on right side of rear area, unscrew and unplug the old unit, plug in and replace mounting screws to this new actuator, and replace panels. All good. Will see how long it lasts and update if there are any problems.

This is a direct replacement for the OEM part, and it installed as a one for one swap out. It was working just fine after installation, replacing the failed one, and then one day it started clicking. It did stop clicking, and restart a few days later, so I'm not sure what that's about. It should only click if failed. It should not restart and not click. I cannot troubleshoot it down to an action or condition either. It's working just fine right now, but three days ago, clicking. So I guess you take your chances with an aftermarket non-oem part.

Both OEM and this are cheaply made. Might as well buy the cheap one
