I had had this antenna up on a 30' ttower for 6 months. Upon purchase the SWR was marginally adequate, but never great. It was about 2.4 on 2 meters and a little less on 440.. The SWR on 2 meters then went over 4 after a few months. It is impossible to improve the SWR with the gamma match. I should have returned it initially. The antenna is cheap and based on my experience will not last.

The antenna had been previously installed, as shown by the scuff marks where the U-bolt was to hold the antenna onto a pole. Furthermore, the U-bolt was missing from the product sent to me. The screws and their holes are tiny, and are meant only for a permanent one-time installation. There was no company name for the product. The q-code and web link didn't work. The video did not show how to assemble the product. On the plus side, although the diagram was useless, the parts were marked, and I was able to lay them out from the photograph.

The quality of the antenna is very good. However, do not begin to assemble until you separate not only the antenna parts, but also the screws. Half of them are sheet metal (the slightly larger to secure tubing to frame) and machine screws (smaller) to hold the elements together. They have Phillips heads, so please use the appropriate and right size screwdriver!!!! If your screwdriver has a worn head, get a new one first. It requires some pressure to secure the screws, and you do not want to strip the screw heads. 73, K8KIZ

Pretty agreeable for the price - extremely simple assembly, maybe 2 minutes. There are numbered elements that go in the main assembly and six unnumbered extensions just for the 2m elements (the only ones with shoulder inserts, they are all the same length). Instructions were simple but clear - hard to mess this one up! Have a smaller driver handy for the extensions so that there's no risk of stripping anything out. Nothing is threaded to receive hardware but the holes are just right to hold tight so long as you aren't over-tightening anything. NanoVNA measured minimum SWR of 1.381 at 140MHz and 1.133 at 450MHz right after putting everything together. Looking forward to further testing and tuning.

This product was fairly easy to assemble, after I realized that the element 'ends' were all the same size and not labeled. The materials are of good quality and it is light. This went in my attic (townhouse condo), and out of the box I got a 1.4:1 SWR for 70cm, 440 MHz. However, SWR for 2m (146 MHz) was about 3.2:1. I adjusted the gamma match and the best I could get was about 2.4; too high for my liking. The 'gamma rod' for 2m seems 'loose' compared to the 70cm rod, as in it's not solidly fitted into the housing where the coax connects. I don't know if that's the source of my problem or not.Thinking of returning it or contacting support.
